you've seen Elf on the Shelf, now meet Elfie on the Shelfie
Over the past couple weeks, you may have noticed a cheeky team member causing mischief around eatsleepdoodle HQ… his name is Elfie Bear. Our cunning doodle bear has been causing havoc ever since he was transformed into an elf for the festive season. Now he has made his journey back to the North Pole (via the washing machine), let’s take a look at what he has been up to…
Day 1 – napping in the stock room
We came into the office to find Elfie taking 40 winks amongst the Peter Rabbit & Friends placemats, we think he must have cosied up for story time and found the cotton placemats just too comfy to stay awake.
Day 2 – building loo roll snowmen
After all the snoozing, the following day he had plenty of energy and stole loo rolls from the building toilets to make a melt-free snowman. Luckily, he used our non-toxic pens, so the rolls won’t go to waste. He even donated his Santa hat to his new friend.

Day 3 – stickers galore
Who doesn’t love stickers? Elfie became the king of stickers on the third day and made a slight mess of Sophie’s desk. We thought he may have been trying to get ahead with packing up orders…but no parcels were put together.

Day 4 – colouring practice
As we approached the weekend, Elfie appeared to wind down with some mindful colouring. We were impressed with his work but concerned that he chose two of our colour-in bags… was he planning to take the mischief outside the office? What supplies did he need both the Go Beyond backpack AND a Fairytales & Legends crossbody bag for?
Day 5 – making minions to aid his mischief?
Friday morning and he has used our magic pens to transform some bananas into suspiciously familiar side kicks to evil…what was he planning? Where did he get the bananas? So many questions.

Day 6 – fire in the office?
Logging onto socials on a Saturday morning to see Elfie had posted a selfie making s’mores in the office over a matchstick fire was terrifying to say the least. He really is the cheekiest elf.

Day 7 – snowball fight with…bananas?
Things were starting to make sense come day 7, when Elfie posted about having a snowball fight in the office with mini marshmallows. Was he playing with the banana friends he made? Who else would have been around to join the fight?

Day 8 – finishing off the office chocolates
Evidently, the events of the weekend proved too chaotic even for Elfie, as we arrived on Monday morning to find him bathing in a tub full of empty chocolate wrappers. Although we were disappointed our treats were gone, we were grateful he hadn’t burned the place down.

Day 9 – keeping a low profile
We got a brief respite from his shenanigans for day 9, although there was an ever-looming sense of being watched and background plotting happening. The chaos was low, but the nerves were high.

Day 10 – not sure that’s edible Elfie…
Nervous of what we may be welcomed with, we arrived on day 10, to what seemed to be a kind offering from Elfie. But upon closer inspection, this ‘sponge cake’ didn’t appear to be edible, let alone tasty!

Day 11 – not Niki’s keyboard!
After not accepting his spongy gift the previous day, Elfie felt he needed to up the ante. Luckily, we arrived before Niki and were able to free her keyboard from his sneaky prank before she could see what he had done.

Day 12 – weeeeeeeeee
Shunned from the office after his trick on Niki, Elfie took to the banister to practice his sledding in preparation for heading back to the North Pole. He definitely got some attention from passers-by…

Day 13 – need some help there Elfie?
With just five days left until Christmas, Elfie decided he needed to decorate eatsleepdoodle HQ before he made his way back to Santa. He may have made the lights more tangled than they were before he got his mitts on them…

Day 14 – hey! Those are Charlotte’s blueberries!
Finally, it was time for Elfie to make his way back to the North Pole to help Santa pack and deliver gifts around the world for Christmas. But not before stealing Charlotte’s snacking blueberries from the fridge…

What a whirlwind fortnight! We loved having Elfie around to get us into the festive spirit, even if he did cause chaos round every corner. He was definitely sharing ideas with the other elves around the world, maybe they have a group chat? What did your elves get up to this year? Tag us on Instagram, we would love to see if your elves did any of the same shenanigans.
In order to send Elfie back to Santa, we needed to pop him in a warm wash so the suds could take him to the North Pole. Leaving behind a clean, fresh doodle bear, ready to be transformed into someone new…
