In this edition of our 'Stockist Spotlight', we're heading to Woodstock in Oxfordshire! The Blenheim Palace Gift Shop enjoys a prime position right within the Palace itself, which is home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Blenheim boasts a rich and diverse history which is beautifully reflected in the gift shop's offerings. Partnering with renowned British companies, the shop produces exclusive ranges that showcase artwork and interiors from the Palace, while also working closely with local producers to celebrate the best of the area. From Blenheim Honey and water to their carefully curated products, including our very own eatsleepdoodle colouring gifts, the shop is a treasure trove of quality and heritage.

We had the pleasure of talking with Judy Bendall, Head of Retail at Blenheim Palace, to find out a bit more about what sets Blenheim Palace Gift Shop apart! Tell us a bit about your shop!

Our shop offers luxury, bespoke products made at and for Blenheim Palace and focuses on offering a range of high-quality, unique gifts that our guests will love. We are dedicated to great storytelling with our products, and we take pride in creating a shopping experience that's just as special with amazing displays and merchandising.

Describe your shop in three words!

I would describe our gift shop as ‘World Heritage’ and ‘unique’!

What’s your favourite thing about running a shop?

My favourite thing about running a shop is that it is different every day! I love that no day is the same, but if I had to pick something in particular, I especially enjoy developing and creating new products to showcase in the shop!

In between the busy moments, what can we find you doing?

When I get a free moment, you can usually find me catching up on stock taking and rearranging our product displays. If I’m all done with this, you’ll find me thinking up new product ranges to develop for the future (and having a sneaky peek at our competition!).

What's your favourite colour and why?

My favourite colour has to be pink! It’s such a bright colour and I feel so good when I wear it.

What’s your favourite eatsleepdoodle product and why?

If I had to pick a favourite from the eatsleepdoodle range, it would be the colour-in pencil cases. I love to see the children faces when they use them and think it’s great how much colouring they can do and then wash it all out to do again!

What do you and your customers love most about eatsleepdoodle?

We love eatsleepdoodle products because of they’re great quality and how good they look! I also love that they’re a bit different and can’t be found everywhere!

If you could make your own colour in gift, what would it be? 

If I could make any product, I think it would be really fun to have something in glass that you could colour!
