Bushbells
colour & learn world map tablecloths, placemats and extra pens!
In 2009 Jax Comyn (old friend of Chrissie's), started Bushbells – a fantastic initiative supporting a small village school in Watamu, in Kenya, by selling fun, colourful kikoy textiles here in the UK as clothes, towels and accessories.
The enterprise not only creates vital jobs in a small coastal community with high unemployment, but all the money raised buys everything for the school - from new classrooms and books to the children’s much-needed daily mug of posho. This is a charity doing great, great things!
Hence why, when Jax approached us about donating some eatsleepdoodle products, we were only too happy to send out a box of colour & learn world map tablecloths, placemats and extra pens! We’ve been told the kids loved colouring in all of the features on the world map while they learned about the different parts of the globe and the plants, animals and foods native to each region – a really educational (and fun!) geography lesson!
We think the smiles speak for themselves and ewere thrilled when Jax sent us these heart-warming pics. We are delighted that we were able to help in some small way and look forward to doing more in the future. Thank you, Jax, and thank you Bushbells!
